Asahi Linux brings a polished Linux experience to Apple Mac hardware like never before. Asahi Linux is a Fedora based, multi-year collaboration open source project established to port Linux to Apple Macs running the new Apple M1 and M2 processors. Asahi Linux is developed by a thriving community of free and open source software developers.

With Asahi Fedora Linux 40 you can expect a solid, high-quality experience without any surprises, designed from the ground up to run on Apple M1 and M2 Processors. Asahi offer a KDE Plasma 6 environment with leading edge Wayland support, a highly customizable experience, KDE Plasma is a joy to use on Apple computers. Use Night Color to adjust your screen for night use, adjust your trackpad settings for a more comfortable experience, adjust the display scale in 5% increments as desired.

Asahi comes with a 100% Wayland environment right out of the box, bringing you the newest desktop and display technologies, a perfect match for Apple hardware. You’ll get a buttery smooth desktop experience just like on macOS. Experience seamless HiDPI support even across multiple displays with different display scales.
