We correctly configure your laptop SSD [storage drive] encryption, which means your data on your laptop remains private and can’t be accessed by others. By default, when encrypting your SSD, macOS offers to send Apple a copy of your laptop access code [for safe keeping obviously] but we DON’T let that happen!
FIREWALL
BIDIRECTIONAL ACCESS CONTROL
Using a computer with unfettered bidirectional access isn’t a good idea. We install a user-friendly hardened Firewall and configure it for the majority of use cases. It monitors and automatically authorizes what data can leave and arrive on your laptop. You can of course review and easily adjust these 'rules' at anytime, keeping you in control.

ALERT MODE
After our preconfiguration, should your laptop attempt to connect to other servers on the internet, your firewall shows a connection alert, allowing you to decide whether to allow or deny the connection. No data is transmitted without your consent. Your decision will be remembered and applied automatically in the future, though can be changed later should you wish.

CAMERA + MICROPHONE
We also install an ultra-light menu bar application that operates inconspicuously. It monitors and alerts in real-time, any microphone and camera activity, to ensure you are immediately notified they are in use.
PRIVACY BROWSER
PRIVACY + SECURITY CONFIGURED
We install and configure our preferred secure privacy browser that we personally use. It is built on the open-source Chromium code-base for excellent website compatibility. When configured correctly, it blocks privacy-invasive ads, trackers, third-party data storage and protects from browser fingerprinting. It is configured to divert each website you visit to the secure https connection whenever possible, and advises when a browser upgrade is available.
TOR BROWSER
RESEARCH IN PRIVATE
We install and configure the Tor Browser. Tor Browser makes it difficult for you to be fingerprinted based on your web browser or PC and your data is relayed and encrypted three times as it passes over the Tor network. Tor defends your online privacy as it also isolates each website you visit so third-party trackers and ads can't follow you. It automatically clears cookies, browsing history and prevents network operators spying on which websites you visit.

LIBRE OFFICE
FREE OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE
We install the latest version of Libre Office, a FOSS [Free Open Source Software] office suite with a modern clean interface, feature-rich tools and compatible with MS Office files. The code is available to everyone, is used by millions of users, and can be code reviewed [audited] by anyone, ensuring it is private [no back doors] and secure [bugs quickly found and resolved].

We install Proton VPN [Virtual Private Network] which provides privacy from spying internet providers by sending your data through an encrypted VPN tunnel. Your passwords, personal data, websites you visit, all remain private from your internet provider. Proton offer free [and paid] options for their VPN service.

PROTON MAIL
We configure Proton Mail access via a secure browser, which is an encrypted email service based in Switzerland. They offer free [and paid] options for their Secure Email that protects your privacy by keeping your conversations private.
We encourage you to consider moving to a private email service like Proton Mail if you have not done so already. Perhaps now is the time to move away from email services that have been proven to spy on you.

We configure Proton Drive access via a secure browser [Paid Option by Proton], which is a secure cloud storage and file sharing service, an end-to-end encrypted Swiss vault for your files, that protects your data. End-to-end encryption ensures that no one other than you, can access your files. Cloud storage done right!
